Cobb County Community Services Boad

Cobb County Community Services Board and Douglas County Community Services Board are the public agencies that provide services to persons with mental health and addictive diseases and developmental disabilities in our community.  We serve more than 13,000 individuals a year--adults, adolescents and children--in residential, day treatment, and outpatient settings.

Volunteer projects:

  • Prepare goody bags for Valentine's Day
  • Prepare Easter baskets
  • Collect game prizes and incentive awards (such as puzzles, games, backpacks, school supplies, $5 gift cards, etc.)
  • Sort donated canned goods and/or pack Thanksgiving baskets (this activity takes place at the adult mental health center located in Austell, the Saturday or Sunday before Thanksgiving)
  • Adopt a family at Christmas
  • Collect toiletry items for adults with mental health disabilities
  • Assist with craft classes for adults with developmental disabilities
