Feed the Homeless: Service Project


 Oct. 22th!

Meet us at the new Office of Civic Engagement in University Center 428 at 8:30 am and we'll make our way down to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church together to begin serving a hot meal to the homeless at the soup kitchen from 9 am - 12:30 pm. So come on down and do your part to support the community!

Yo Boulevard Community Cleanup!

If you're interested in cleaning up your community, join the Office of Civic Engagement this Saturday from 9am-1pm in the parking lot of Fort Street United Methodist Church (562 Boulevard NE 30308). The cleanup focuses on the Boulevard corridor North of Freedom Parkway. Volunteers get special limited edition YoBoulevard t-shirts, lunch and giveaways!

Atlanta AIDS 5K Walk/Run

October 20th,
Come participate in the Atlanta AIDS 5K Walk/Run from 7am-4pm at Piedmont Park. Help to find the cure and treat AIDS by joining the largest AIDS-related fundraising events in the Southeastern United States! Let's beat our goal of $940,000 from the 2012 campaign.

Engage in the "Dessert, Diversity, and Dialogue" Interfaith Coffee Hour!

Interfaith Coffee Hour gives GSU students a chance to actively participate in the pressing issues facing society today. Have a treat in 428 University Center from 3:15-4P.M. while you meet students form diverse backgrounds, discuss the solutions to Atlanta's social ills!

Atlanta Jazz Festival


"The Atlanta Jazz Festival’s mission is to expose and entertain a diverse audience of jazz aficionados, young jazz enthusiasts and musical artists to the rich heritage and variety of jazz as an authentic form of traditional music.  The Atlanta Jazz Festival makes a significant impact on Atlanta’s travel and tourism industry and attracts music lovers from around the world.  Over the years, the Festival has attracted over 7.5 million residents and tourists over the last 35 year. 
 
Atlanta has become a premier destination for jazz and entertainment.  Our long-standing partnerships with Piedmont Park, our many sponsors and our jazzteers make it possible to present a world-class experience that visitors from anywhere can enjoy."  The Atlanta Jazz Festival celebrates its 36th year.  The celebration takes place Memorial weekend, May 25 - 27, in beautiful Piedmont Park.
