Victim-Witness Assistance Program

Are you:
18 years of age or older/
Interested in community service?
Interested in working with victims of crime?
Able to work with a diverse client population?
A good communicator?
A motivated team player?
Able to respect and maintain confidentiality?

If yes, we want you to volunteer!

Volunteers play a critical role in reaching out to victims of crime and their families by supplementing the efforts of the Victim-Witness Assistance Program Advocates.

Volunteering can provide an opportunity to:
Increase existing skills
Learn new skills
Meet interesting and dynamic people
Make a difference in someone's life
Make a difference to your community

Student Press Law Center

The Student Press Law Center is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3)
nonprofit based in the Washington, D.C., area, and we work closely with a
Georgia affiliate, the Georgia First Amendment Foundation, on issues
relating to open government and sunshine laws.

We are interested in jointly providing a volunteer opportunity for a
GSU student to work at the GFAF office, or remotely from home, or some
combination of the two, doing outreach work for our respective
organizations. We are always in need of assistance with a variety of tasks,
including: monitoring the progress of legislation at the state level,
identifying opportunities for our attorneys to speak and publish articles,
updating the contact list for people to receive our publications, and so on.
We definitely would be able to occupy as much time as the student cared to offer,
and we could tailor the work around the student's areas of
interest.
